Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Guard Patrol Monitor in Albuquerque, NM. This part-time position involves conducting armed patrols at government locations, maintaining presence to deter incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to visitors and staff.

Armed Guard Card/License is required, along with the ability to respond calmly to incidents. The role includes shift-based daytime hours with a pay rate of $21 per hour and compliance with background and drug screening

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry when assigned, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation; coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and site representatives when needed.
