Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations Specialist in Washington, DC. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor access and activity, and respond to security concerns while working with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized persons.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report access control concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift.
