Job summary

Strategic Security Corp. is hiring experienced, licensed armed security officers for roving patrols at Walmart properties in the Anchorage area.

As the visible deterrent, you will respond to incidents, support store managers, and help keep customers and property safe while adhering to policy and Alaska law. The role requires current Alaska armed security licensing, firearms training, and the ability to work nights and weekends, with on-call shifts and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Current Alaska armed security license (valid and in good standing).
• Documented firearms training and current firearms qualification.
• Clean criminal history with no disqualifying offenses.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; insurable.
• Minimum age 18+ (or 21+ if policy requires); able to legally carry a firearm.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of Walmart parking lots and perimeter to deter theft and criminal activity.
• Monitor parking lot activity and report suspicious persons/vehicles to management and law enforcement.
• Respond to incidents, de-escalate verbally, and summon police when required.
• Follow all use-of-force and firearms policies at all times.
• Maintain professional uniform and equipment; complete incident reports after each shift.
• Coordinate with store management, loss prevention, and local law enforcement.
