Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government assistance and rehabilitative services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with visitor direction and maintaining professional interactions with individuals receiving services.
• Document daily activities, incidents, patrols, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in required reports.
