Job summary

Prosegur is hiring Armed Security Officers to guard USPS facilities in Fort Worth, Texas. This full-time role requires conducting patrols, controlling access, and reporting incidents to maintain a safe environment.

Candidates must have a military police or law enforcement background, own firearm and carrying license, and relevant security certifications. The position offers steady shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections is required.
• Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; armed guard license may be required in applicable states.
• Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use is preferred.
• Able to stand, patrol, and manage potentially intense confrontations.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous security experience at USPS or similar facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and identify security breaches.
• Deter, detect, and respond to threats promptly and professionally.
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation and restraint as necessary.
• Maintain incident reports and documentation for security events.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when required.

Job Skills / Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identifying potential security breaches or hazards
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally

• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary
• Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security-related incidents
• Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when required

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience: Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections is required
• Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license is required in applicable states
• Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use is preferred
• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
• Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have obtained Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
• Must have obtained a Security Clearance in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills:

• Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
• High level of professionalism and discretion
• Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs as needed
