Job summary

Prosegur seeks an Armed Security Officer to protect client assets and maintain a secure environment. The role requires vigilance, responsibility, and adherence to security protocols, with firearm handling as needed.

Ideal candidates have a background in law enforcement or military police, own a firearm with license, and are flexible for night/weekend shifts. This is an As Needed position in California.

Qualifications

• Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections.
• Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license is required in applicable states.
• Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use.
• Must pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation.
• Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling and handling confrontations.
• Understanding of and commitment to all security and firearm regulations.
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identifying potential security breaches or hazards.
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally.
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access.
• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary.
• Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security-related incidents.
• Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when required.

• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
• Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have obtained Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
• Must have obtained a Security Clearance in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills:

• Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
• High levelof professionalism and discretion
• Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50lbsas needed
