Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors following site procedures and safety policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and according to protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the store, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and document incidents for leadership communication.
• Maintain firearms qualifications and comply with all laws and Allied Universal policies.

As a Armed Security Officer- Windfern Warehouse in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer, you will patrol a retail location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post includes operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal policy. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to incidents while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements:

• 21+ Years of Age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License
• Valid Driver's License
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading docks, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow all applicable laws, client procedures, and Allied Universal policies related to armed post duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
