Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer for weekends in Phoenix, AZ. The role is part-time with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

You will serve and safeguard government and other clients, perform armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service. Candidates must have at least one year of armed security or related experience, possess an armed guard card/license, be 21+, and complete background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card and/or license required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, maintaining a professional presence around public-facing offices and facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
