Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Armed Security Officer with experience to safeguard a government location. You will perform patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to site policies.

Position type: Full Time; Pay rate: $23.00 per hour. Requirements include 1+ year armed security experience, Armed Guard Card, 21+ years old, and a high school diploma. Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as per laws.

Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Experienced in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization and documenting observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Maintain awareness of assigned areas and follow applicable laws, regulations, post orders, and Allied Universal procedures while performing armed duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
