Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Rover in El Paso, TX. This flexible, part-time role offers reliable hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on security experience.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, respond calmly to incidents, and uphold site policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent; driver license if required.
• Background check and drug screening per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, visitors, and staff per site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
• Conduct regular armed patrols across transit facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct traffic as needed.
• Support emergency responses by coordinating with site contacts and leadership within posted guidelines.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Rover in El Paso, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, parking areas, operational spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with directing vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic in a professional manner.
• Support emergency and incident response by communicating with site contacts, public responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership, while following post orders and applicable use‑of‑force guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
