Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Midland, TX. This role offers fixed anchor shifts and optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

You’ll perform armed security duties, patrol assigned sites, and respond to incidents with professional composure, while adhering to site post orders and escalation protocols. The position requires a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, a driving license, and 21+ years old.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete industry security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff while carrying out armed procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct armed patrols in retail areas, entrances, parking lots, and perimeters.
• Monitor security concerns and report observations to site personnel.

As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Response Driver in Midland, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM


• Wed 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM


• Thur 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out armed security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor for security‑related concerns including suspicious behavior, access‑control issues, theft‑related activity, and potential hazards, and report observations to appropriate personnel.


• Document incidents, patrols, and other security‑related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security‑related experience.


• Be at least 21 years of age.


• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
