Allied Universal® in Austin, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer with Level III certification to support a technology, media, and telecom site. You will patrol, monitor access, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Requirements include a Texas Level III Armed Certification, an Armed Guard Card, a high school diploma, and at least three years of armed security or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, entrances, common areas, and parking locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate clearly with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders to support a professional environment.

As a Security Officer Armed Level III Certification in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, entrances, common areas, and parking locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, armed security-related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
