Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Customer Service in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication. This role calls for integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach while using innovative tools to support a secure environment.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain assigned equipment, complete required reports, and follow applicable armed-post procedures, training, and use-of-force guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
