Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Level III Armed Patrol in Austin, TX. You will protect clients across Retail/Malls environments, perform armed patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service.

A Texas Level III Armed Certification is required, along with the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. The role offers a structured schedule with Friday to Sunday shifts and a pay rate of $21.00 per hour, plus benefits and growth opportunities

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances and critical situations calmly and according to protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones and perimeter to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, maintaining an orderly environment within legal requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents and observations and communicate with site management and leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Level III Armed Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment while following applicable laws, policies, and firearm-handling requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
