Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Patrol Officer for a retail location in Houston, TX. This part-time role offers a consistent schedule and opportunities to serve customers and protect assets with vigilance and professionalism.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor entrances and parking areas, document incidents, and collaborate with store leadership. A valid Texas Level III Armed Certification and 21+ years are required, along with a driver’s license and background check.

Qualifications

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security.
• Valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal driver policy.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with store leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
