Job summary

DK Security in Grayling, MI is seeking armed security officers to protect a local military headquarters. This full-time role requires a CPL, driver’s license, US citizenship, and strong customer service and communication skills. Expect varied shifts (2nd and 3rd) and rigorous post guidelines to ensure safety and security.

Responsibilities include guarding posts, patrolling, ID checks, incident reporting, and teamwork within a tight-knit security team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must hold a valid State of Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL).
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• No felony convictions; pass a background check.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and annually thereafter.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must maintain groomed appearance as per policy.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guard entry/exit points at a local military headquarters.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of interior and exterior grounds.
• Check employee, vendor and visitor identifications.
• Deter and report suspicious activity; de-escalate where needed.
• Document daily activities and incidents; follow site post guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
