Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Platform Patrol in Denver, CO to safeguard clients across industries, including government transit sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and respond professionally, upholding the company’s people-first culture and integrity.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour and a daytime schedule. Candidates must have relevant security experience, appropriate licensing, and pass background and drug checks.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• One+ year of armed security experience.
• Armed Guard Card/License.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by employer.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures and policies at transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report according to laws, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter areas.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable laws, policies, and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal training, client requirements, applicable laws, and established use-of-force guidelines.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
