Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Transit in Denver, CO. The role requires patrolling transit facilities, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to incidents while ensuring rider and staff safety. You will carry out procedures, support security teams, and uphold federal, state, and local laws.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. A valid Armed Guard Card, 3+ years of applicable experience, and pass background/drug checks are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or be a certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate's Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate transit personnel, emergency services, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, vehicle access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, verifying authorization when required and documenting incidents, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Maintain required firearm qualifications and follow applicable laws, regulations, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures regarding the carrying and use of assigned equipment.

Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Transit in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional assistance to riders, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or be a certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate's Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
