Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Armed Security Officer Transit Driving in Denver, CO. You will drive assigned routes, patrol transit facilities, deter incidents, and provide excellent service to riders and staff.

We offer full-time hours, a pay rate of $25.00 per hour, and opportunities for growth, training, and benefits. A valid guard card, driver’s license, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Armed Guard Card or license required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Must provide DD214, associate degree or related certificate, or Police/Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to riders, staff, and visitors; follow security procedures and emergency protocols.
• Perform armed patrols of transit facilities and surrounding areas to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with transit personnel or law enforcement as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, report suspicious activity or property damage.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs accurately.

As an Armed Security Officer Transit Driving in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location. You will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to riders, staff, and visitors. Job Schedule:

• Tue: 11:30 AM - 07:30 PM
• Wed: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Fri: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sat: 11:30 AM - 07:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, administrative areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with transit personnel and/or local law enforcement as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations through required channels.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation related to patrols, observations, and response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have at least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security Officer, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Provide a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
