Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, employees, and stakeholders while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters to identify and report hazards.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations calmly and coordinate with transit personnel or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly movement at transit locations.
• Prepare accurate patrol and incident reports and maintain documentation per site procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, employees, and stakeholders while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and/or public emergency responders as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and help maintain orderly movement throughout assigned transit locations.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
