Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Armed) for perimeter patrols and site security at government facilities. The role requires an Armed Guard Card/License, a high school diploma or equivalent, and being 21 years of age or older for armed positions.

Work days are Thursdays through Saturdays with morning shifts. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

Armed Guard Card/License required.
Associates Degree or 60 college credits, Police Academy or Corrections Academy certificates acceptable.
CPR certification preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Background check required by law.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities for government facilities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry while reporting suspicious activity to supervisors.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally per post orders.
Document patrol activity, incidents, observations, and actions in required reports; communicate information to supervisors and emergency responders.
