Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Security Officer for a government site in Miami, FL. You will patrol, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns while delivering exceptional customer service and adhering to the company values.

This full-time role requires meeting minimum licensing and training standards, passing background checks, and a post-order driven approach to access control and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge or an associate degree/60 college credits or police/corrections academy certificate.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• A guard card or security license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• State/county/city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participation in security training programs.
• Licensing may be required per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific security procedures and access requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeters, and surrounding grounds.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to post orders.
• Prepare incident reports, patrol logs, and communicate information to supervisors and agency representatives.
