Qualifications

• Armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience of at least 1 year.
• Security-related experience of at least 1 year.
• Valid armed guard card or license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document incidents and patrol findings.
• Maintain firearms, equipment, and documentation per laws and site procedures.

As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public-access spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and authorizations as required, and document irregularities, incidents, and patrol findings in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required firearms, equipment, and documentation in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
