Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer – Site Flex in Tucson, AZ. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and the potential to scale to a fuller schedule.

You will protect residents, staff and visitors at a government healthcare and residential location, respond calmly to emergencies, and perform armed patrols with strict adherence to post orders and policies.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare and residential location serving veterans.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorization for visitors and vendors as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security‑related activities.

As a Armed Security Officer - Site Flex in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
