Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time Patrol) in Phoenix, AZ to serve a government location. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service on site.

Minimum requirements include an armed guard card or license, at least 1 year of armed security-related experience, and a background check. Shifts include Daytime and Night hours with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while interacting respectfully with diverse populations and assisting with directions, access questions, and other routine requests.
