Allied Universal invites applications for an Armed Patrol Officer to support a government location on a part-time basis. The role involves customer service, security procedures, and regular armed patrols to safeguard facilities and property.

You will respond to incidents, monitor access, and document activities while adhering to site policies and legal requirements. A valid armed guard license is preferred, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify relevant personnel and agencies as needed.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including an assigned duty firearm, in accordance with laws and Allied Universal policies.

Job Schedule:

• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public‑service agencies as needed.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when applicable, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including an assigned duty firearm, in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
