Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer in the Los Angeles area. The role requires 21+ and a high school diploma (or equivalent) with security experience or training. Responsibilities include protecting clients, performing patrols, handling incidents, and reporting to supervisors.

Paid training and benefits are provided; hourly wage is $28 with daily/weekly pay options. Location: MLK Hospital area, full-time hours. A clean background and driving record are required.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable security experience
• Background check and drug screen required
• Security training and licensing requirements may apply
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and implement site-specific safety procedures and emergency responses
• Respond to incidents calmly and solve problems effectively
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter
• Supervise and assist Guards I and II as needed
• Ensure proper County identification and controlled access to restricted areas
• Intervene to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry
• Screen packages and report suspicious findings to authorities
• Operate and monitor security equipment including CCTV and alarms
• Log activities in the daily activity report (DAR)
• Coordinate with local law enforcement during emergencies
