Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will patrol banking areas and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role requires vigilance, quick decision-making, and adherence to regulations. Schedule is daytime with part-time shifts; compensation is $21.50 per hour, with opportunities to engage with flexible shifts through our platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking facilities, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures and laws.
• Maintain authorization and readiness to carry assigned equipment, including a firearm, per Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
• Document observations and actions in reports and communicate with site leadership or emergency responders.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintain authorization and readiness to carry assigned equipment, including a firearm, in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken through accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
