Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Reporting in Bronx, NY. You will conduct routine armed patrols, deter incidents, respond to alarms, and maintain clear communication with clients and team members in a technology-focused environment.

Key duties include verifying credentials, documenting activity, and following site policies while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and public responders as needed.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Carry authorized equipment in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and client procedures, and complete accurate incident and patrol reports.
