Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.84 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to control entry and report suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
