Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and respond to situations with professionalism. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintaining awareness of visitors, deliveries, and vehicles entering or leaving the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a college degree.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
