Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Newport News, VA. This part-time role involves patrolling a manufacturing/industrial site, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity.

You will monitor access, verify credentials, and provide professional service to employees and visitors while following site procedures and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screen may be required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and document incidents.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and comply with laws and policies for armed security duties.
