Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Threat Detection in Newport News, VA. You will protect assets and people, perform routine armed patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and adherence to site post orders. A valid armed guard card is required, with background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, screening visitors and deliveries, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using authorized equipment and following applicable post orders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
