Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Elizabeth City, NC to protect clients across various industries. This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore additional shifts via our Claim a Shift platform.

The position requires a valid armed guard card or license, a valid driver's license, and at least six months of armed security or related experience.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen entries as directed, report suspicious activity or unauthorized access.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment per laws, licensing requirements, and site-specific policies.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen authorized entries as directed, and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access attempts.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal procedures, and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
