Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Guard Armed Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will perform armed patrols, provide strong customer service, and respond calmly to incidents, while meeting Texas Level III Armed Certification requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, in accordance with applicable laws and site procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity, theft-related incidents, trespassing, and other policy violations through professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and security-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
