Responsibilities

• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials and document entries and exits.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner following post orders.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs for Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Manson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional service through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring culture that puts people first.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed – 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur – 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri – 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or other authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials, and document the entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
