Responsibilities

• Monitor access to designated areas; verify credentials, screen visitors/vehicles, report unauthorized entries.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and patrol activities in line with site requirements.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas; verify credentials, screen visitors and/or vehicles as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related matters in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
