Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Driver Field Patrol in Elizabeth City, NC. You will conduct armed patrols, maintain security at a government location, and provide high-quality customer service while enforcing post orders and laws.

The role requires an armed guard card, 6 months of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and a background check. This is a full-time, on-site position with evening shifts and a competitive pay rate.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Background histories considered in a compliant manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, document visitor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations to site personnel and leadership.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable laws.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
