Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Raleigh, NC. You will safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites by conducting regular armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering professional customer service to employees, visitors, and members.

You will respond to alarms and incidents, document activity thoroughly, and follow site procedures to ensure a secure environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law and policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, members and visitors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization in line with site procedures and maintain orderly entry/exit.
• Complete accurate reports and logs in compliance with Allied Universal and site rules.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
• Complete accurate reports, activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
