Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a retail location in Houston, TX. You will conduct patrols, monitor entry points, deter incidents, and respond to alarms with professionalism and clear communication.

This full-time position requires a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work daytime/evening shifts. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential to protect people, property, and assets.

Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Northwest FWY in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to retail location personnel, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, parking lots, and store perimeter for unusual activity, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including interior sales areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
