Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Houston, TX, to protect clients across retail environments. The role requires a valid driver’s license, Level III Armed Certification in Texas, and a commitment to customer service and safety.

As a full-time position, you will patrol premises, monitor access, respond to incidents, and complete detailed reports while upholding company standards and community trust.

Qualifications

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military OR 5+ years armed security experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas
• Be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check and drug screen required
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency response as needed at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions per site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain required documentation for incidents and patrols

As an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
