Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer at our Houston, TX site. This full-time role involves patrolling retail and parking areas, maintaining a visible post to deter incidents, and delivering professional customer service.

You will conduct regular armed patrols, monitor access points, respond to disturbances, and complete detailed incident reports. A valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, a driver’s license, and 3+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Armed Guard Card/License required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Level III Armed Certification (Texas only).
• 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Triple combination: 3+ years law enforcement/corrections/military OR 5+ years armed security experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by enforcing security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Complete accurate incident activity reports and maintain documentation.

As an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
