Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) in Houston, TX. You will patrol retail locations, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff.

• Provide security and customer service to clients, visitors, and store associates while following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols across retail locations, parking areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, observe behavior, and report suspicious activity to relevant personnel.
• Maintain patrol and incident reports and other security documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• 21+ Years of Age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail locations, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
