Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) for a hospital site in Columbia, SC. You will provide security, patrol areas, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Pay is $18.78 per hour, with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, Armed Guard card or license, at least one year of armed security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and contractors by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies in a calm, professional manner per protocols.
• Conduct armed patrols of healthcare facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and contractor access per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel or responders.
