Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Wichita, KS to protect patients, staff and visitors across a healthcare setting. You will patrol premises, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies with professionalism while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires armed security credentials, strong customer service, and reliable communication. You will work a set daytime schedule, undergo background and drug screening, and participate in ongoing security

Qualifications

• Armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience preferred (1+ year).
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior and exterior areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization; report unusual conditions or violations to leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain documentation of patrols and activities.
