Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Wichita, KS to protect patients, staff and visitors across a healthcare setting. You will patrol premises, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies with professionalism while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires armed security credentials, strong customer service, and reliable communication. You will work a set daytime schedule, undergo background and drug screening, and participate in ongoing security

Qualifications

• Armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience preferred (1+ year).
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.


• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.


• Possess an armed guard card or license.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
