Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Emergency Response to protect patients, staff and visitors in a healthcare environment. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and coordinate with responders while upholding the company values.

This role requires an Armed Guard Card/License, 21+ years old, a high school diploma, and background/drug checks in line with laws.

Qualifications

Armed Guard Card/License required.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and public responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and restricted-area protocols in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
