Job summary

Strategic Security (SSC) in Houston, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a seasonal, full-time role. You will conduct armed foot patrols across government, corporate, retail or fast food environments, monitor CCTV and alarms, control access, and deter misconduct.

You will also prepare reports, liaise with local law enforcement as needed, and participate in SSC's G.E.T. program (Greet, Engage and Thank).

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.
• Must possess a State Licensed Armed Security Guard Card / License.
• Must possess an HR 218 Unrestricted Handgun Carry License or equivalent for the area of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed foot patrols in assigned environments.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Control access and egress; prevent unauthorized entry.
• Deterrence of criminal activity and misconduct.
• Prepare and file security reports on incidents and observations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement as needed.
• Provide basic first aid when required.
• Make emergency notifications and respond to emergencies.
