Allied Universal in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a government installation. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents to protect personnel and property at an aerospace/defense site.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Pay Rate: $24.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Texas Level III Armed Security License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
