Allied Universal, a leading security services company in North America, seeks an Armed Security Officer for a full-time role at a government site in Richmond, VA. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering strong customer service.

Qualified candidates hold an armed guard card, are 21+, and pass background and drug screening per regulatory requirements. This position includes on-site duties and shift coverage as listed.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background checks as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with laws and post orders.
